Organizations all over the world are changing the ways they communicate with Cisco unified communications. Smarsh and Actiance are excited to strengthen our partnership with Cisco and help customers manage the e-discovery, regulatory or brand risk inherent in electronic communications.
We are excited to share that Smarsh and Actiance capture and archiving support for Jabber and WebEx Teams can now be purchased directly through Cisco’s Solution+ 2.0 ordering process. Mutual customers will have an ability to leverage the collaboration and productivity benefits of Cisco solutions for unified communications and meet their retention and oversight requirements.
This is good news for Cisco customers in heavily regulated industries including financial services, which must meet compliance requirements enforced by regulatory agencies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). In addition, the need to retain, search and produce electronic records on-demand for litigation events and investigations makes integrated capture and archiving solutions compulsory for global enterprises.
With Smarsh and Actiance capture and archiving solutions for Jabber and WebEx Teams, customers can:
- Capture Jabber and WebEx Teams (activities, messages, files, images, links, user activity) content in its native format, directly from the platforms, for longer-term archiving with Smarsh and Actiance (or other archiving systems)
- Index and search relevant Cisco Jabber and WebEx Teams content in its original format, regardless of a user’s device, location or network
- Search across all Jabber and WebEx Teams conversations and review fully threaded, contextual conversations
- Leverage a full audit trail that tracks each review session and actions taken on specific content
- Escalate and tag archived content based on cases, events or topics
- Assign or forward Jabber and WebEx Teams content to supervisors for further review
- Export only the relevant Jabber and WebEx Teams data in multiple formats securely and directly to outside counsel, regulatory examiners or third-party e-discovery providers during litigation events
- Preserve Jabber and WebEx Teams content alongside other message types, such as email, mobile/text and social media in one consolidated destination
The partnership was announced at the Cisco GSX sales conference in Las Vegas on August 21. Under terms of the agreement, Smarsh and Actiance capture and archiving solutions for Cisco Jabber and WebEx Teams can be purchased separately, or along with any Cisco collaboration license agreement.
